The Lake Wales History Museum is honored to announce that we have been awarded a grant from Mountain Lake Community Service to transform our historic Freight Room into a vibrant and flexible space for events and educational programs.
This funding will directly support free and low cost programs for the community, including hands on activities for kids, cultural events, and educational workshops. Our goal is to create more accessible opportunities for learning, connection, and celebration right here in Lake Wales.

Nestled in the heart of Lake Wales, Florida, the Lake Wales History Museum stands as one of Polk County's oldest and most cherished institutions. Our museum offers a gateway to the past, inviting visitors to explore exhibits that celebrate our rich local heritage. We are currently open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm.
