accessibility

The museum welcomes all visitors, and works to provide an inclusive experience for all people.  For any persons with mobility disabilities, we have a zero-entry ramp to the main galleries of the museum. We have designated accessible parking spaces and restrooms. Although the second level of the house is only accessible via stairs, plans are in motion to add a wheelchair lift.  Exhibit text is set in larger fonts, and audio tags can provide additional information.  To help visitors with children and adults on the autism spectrum prepare for your visit, you may download the museum’s Social Story about what to expect while visiting the museum.  Staff and volunteers will do their best to accommodate any individuals with special needs or disabilities.
